I have added a class home page for all of our school classes. This home page is where teachers will post information about their class and give reports on their class activities. Also students will be responsible for writing with an aim towards posting their writing on their class home page. This is a great incentive for students to write. If they know that their writing will be posted to the Internet on our school home page to be read by other students and their parents, they will be much more excited about writing.

The objectives for each class and age group will be different and based on the age and class level of the group. Kindergartens and grade one's may post group writing for example, whereas grades 2-6 will no doubt post individual writing or group writing. This project will directly support many of the Language arts objectives. It also will support many technology and communication objectives.

I have e-mailed the schools in our district with our URL and encouraging them to visit our class pages and give us some feedback. I have also asked them to use their home pages in a similar manner. In this way our district can become like one big classroom interacting with one another.
