Description: We will set up a pen pal system with another school, preferably from another country/province. Means of communication will be the Internet. We hope to do this on a weekly basis. One class (40 min. period) per week will be set aside for corresponding. Goals: We wish to encourage use of French Language with peers outside the classroom, either in Canada or Internationally. We hope to accomplish this and give our students exposure to the Internet at the same time. We also hope that in doing so, our students will get to know other people and their cultures and differences. The Internet will be used as both a medium and a tool for communication purposes using email and web site construction.
We are currently using an Internet connection for various curriculum related projects. Mainly research in resource based learning projects using search engines. The class will develop a web site to display projects online.
