Project
Overview
During the past two years students in grade eight have
completed a small research paper. The paper falls into
one of the themes covered in the Language Arts program,
"Strange and Usual Topics". It includes topics
such as: Werewolves, Ghosts, UFO's, Yeti, Loch Ness
Monster, etc., things which many students at this age
find interesting.
The purpose of the project has been to help students
acquire the skills necessary to carry out and complete a
piece of research. To read, to evaluate what is revelant
and what is unnecessary, to present this information in
their own words and not simply write out what is
presented in a book.
